Question 1

Is it really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you ask for a quote, the local heating or insulation contractor who gets it may pay us for the referral. You never pay us.

Question 2

Will someone call me?

Accepted Answer

Only if you ask for a quote, and only about that quote.

Question 3

How accurate is it?

Accepted Answer

It's an estimate built from your answers, Alberta climate data and current gas prices. Uploading a gas bill with a 12-month history makes it much sharper. A contractor's quote and your real bills will differ.

Question 4

Do the rebates come off the price?

Accepted Answer

Only rebates we've confirmed are open to any homeowner in your area. Right now most Alberta programs are financing or income-tested, so they're listed separately and never counted as money off.

Question 5

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. You can finish the audit and see your plan as a guest. A free account keeps every audit in one place and on any device.

Question 6

What happens to my gas bill if I upload it?

Accepted Answer

It's stored privately and only used to read your gas usage.

Question 7

Do you sell my information?

Accepted Answer

No. Your contact details go to an installer only when you ask for a quote.

Question 8

Where does it work?

Accepted Answer

Edmonton, Central and Northern Alberta. Elsewhere in Alberta it still runs, with less precise climate and program matching.
